The third of Patrick Wolf's albums, The Magic Position is an enchanting and eclectic mixture of musical tracks with a track to suit virtually anybody's taste.
Patrick Wolf plays a wide variety of instruments and this is reflected in the huge variation of sounds in the tracks. As with most albums, some songs are better than others and stand out above the rest.
The title song 'The Magic Position' is perhaps the most catchy of them all and is the most "pop-like" of all the songs - bound to be enjoyed by anyone and everyone.
Other favourite songs of mine include Bluebells, an upbeat yet sultry song with powerful lyrics, Overture- an entertaining mix of modern electric sounds with a classical influence- and Accident and Emergency - another pop/electronic classic.
I am new to Patrick Wolf's music and was first drawn to it after hearing Magic Position on the radio. I would recommend people listen to several of his tracks before they buy the album but I am sure they will grow on most people after a while.
Look out for Patrick Wolf in the near future!
