A great collection of some of the best songs ever written and sung. i am always listening to Magic on the radio, so when their first album of songs came out i had to get it- and i did.
the album list includes some of the latest great songs such as: 'Bad day' from Daniel Powter, and 'You're beautiful' from James Blunt.
Also included are some of the greatest classics such as Otis Redding's 'Sittin' on the dock of the bay, and 'Brown eyed girl' from Van Morrison.
some of the other songs included on the 3-disc set, include:
Home- from Michael Buble, Cannonball- from Damien Rice, I say a little prayer- from Aretha Franklin, Take on me- from A-ha, What a wonderful world- from Louis Armstrong, Love can build a bridge- from The Judds, I want to know what love is- from Foreigner, Eternal flame- from the Bangles, and As long as you love me- from the Backstreet Boys, as well as many other tracks.
50 of the best tracks ever- although there are some that i am not very fond of, on the whole the 3 discs are crammed full of brilliant music.
a bit off topic, but the picture on the front, is a landscape shot across London at night, with the beautiful sunset in the backgound behind some skyscrapers, and the houses in the front of the shot (beautifully summing up the fact that Magic is a London music station, and that it is a calming and relaxing set of tracks to wind you down at the end of a long, tough day.
overall the sound quality is great, the tracks are very clear, the packaging captures the idea of the album, and the tracks on the back are clear and easy to read.
would recommend it to anyone- not just if you like older, slower songs, but if you like newer r+b songs that tell a story and can be related to.
