Another A1 Review by Lorraine I hear you all cry - Dont worry this will definately be the last one.....A1 didnt make anymore albums for me to review haha!!

WHY IS WAS DIFFERENT?
As most pop bands say when they are releasing a new album "This one is going to be really different its worth buying" and then you buy it and it sounds exactly the same as the last album. Remembering that all of A1s previous stuff had been cheesy pop songs and ballads when you are reading this!!!!

THE ALBUM!
First song on this album is "Caught in the Middle". This song is really guitar based and is absolutly amazing they showcased this song at the smash hits tour as I have said previously and it went down really well. It was much more light rock than the rest of the stuff that they had done.....I couldnt wait for the album to be released because I know realised it was going to be different. A1 released this song in January 2001 and it went straight to the top of the charts.
The second song on this album is "Make it Good" they named thier album after this song and released this song just before the album was released - hoping to boost sales. Unfortunatly this didnt work and when they came to doing signings for this album the turn out was really disappointing, infact that disappointing for a1 that they had less the 100 people at the signing I turned up at to have a look. Some fans were even queuing up and going round twice! Other songs include "Here Comes the Rain" this is Christians solo song its a bit of a ballad but with a rock feel - you can definately see that they were trying to take a new direction in this album. I really like this song its great! "When Im missing you" this isnt the most exciting song on the album - they all take solos in this song and is done acousticly only with a guitar but I tend to be a bit bored by the time I get to the end of the song. "This aint what love is about" great up tempo song with great lyrics sung by Paul who really got into the rock thing (he shaved of his hair and got a couple of piercings" I am actually listening to this song and its making me smile lots and lots, wish they released this song to promote their album. "Crazy for Leaving you" this song is errr nice.....dont really know what else to say about it!!! "Learn to Fly" they couldnt help but get a poppy ballad in here, but I suppose all those pop lovers will probably like this one. "Isnt it Cheap" Marks and Pauls solo song and one of the most rocky songs on this album which really suprised me as he was the most cheesy person I knew, loving everything disney and was generally cheesy so this really suprised me that mark sang a really rocky song so well, this is one of my favourite songs on this album. "If I cant have you" no no its not that song we are all thinking you know the one that goes If i cant have you ....i dont what no other baby! But more along the lines of a love song singing If I cant have you the love has gone etc etc you get the jist! "Make it through the night" this is a great song its written really well too its about a guy telling a story about "shes all alone making her way to a cold empty room " then "He wakes up late, Stares at the mirror to see his own face" it is written as if they are on the outside looking into a releationship. "Cherise this love" "Do you Remember Me" One Last song" and "Let it out" another great song which could have been a single. This album was released in May 2002 and it only managed to scrap its way into the top 10 of the album charts which resulted to Paul leaving and then the guys decided to go their seperate ways. So it looks like the choice of music change and trying to grow up with their fans didnt work. Its shame becuase they were all really talented.
