Advantages: dogs love them. no strong smell Disadvantages: none
My two dogs are both fans of Pedigree treats and have been fed Markies from a young age.
I buy original marrowbone Markies loose from Wilkinsons, but they are available in prepacked boxes of 500g for £1.05 or 1.5kg for £3.39. The boxes are yellow with the Pedigree logo, a picture of the product and a Border Collie dog on the front. Markies are available in two sizes, mini and regular. Although the mini variety is hard to find. Markies Trio's are also available in certain shops, which are a mixture of three different flavours in one box (chicken, lamb and marrowbone), a 500g box of these costs £1.29. A puppy variety is available costing 99p for 300g.
The treats are about an inch long and have a dark brown meaty centre covered in crunchy white biscuit. They cannot be easily snapped in half by hand but crumble when bitten by the dog ...

Advantages: Dogs Love 'Um Disadvantages: Quite Expensive
All dog owners know how important it is to have a treat that your dog loves. Treats can be used as a special treat for being good, or as a training tip bit.
A good treat needs to be something the dog really loves and is not too fattening. I find Pedigree Markies a good choice. They are just the right size to fit a few in your pocket, and are big enough to satisfy your dogs hunger.
Markies come a range of different flavours and sizes.
Original Markies; These measure about 1.5 inches in length. They are a cylindrical shape, have a plain biscuit outer layer with a meaty centre.
Mini Markies; These are just like the original markies, but smaller. They measure about ¾ inch in length. Ideal for small dogs or puppies.
Chicken Markies; These are the same as original markies , but with a chicken flavour filling.
Trio Markies ...

Advantages: Tasty (well my dog seems to think so ) Disadvantages: None really
My four year old german shepherd Morgan is mad for markies, they are up there with shmacko's in her book !!!
Markies are one of the treats that i buy weekly in my shopping for Morgan. They cost around £1.10 and you get around 40 of them so hey, we can't really complain at the price !!!
Markies are the treat that Morgan gets after she has been her morning walk and as soon as she gets in from her walk, she goes straight to her cupboard and waits for one, so they cant be that bad !!!
They are little crunchie treats about an inch long and half inch wide, they do crumble but if your dog is like mines, no crumbs are left !!! ...
