...in the trilogy. I found my self slowly falling in love to this soundtrack, it is so tempting... The musical assessment leaves excellent impressions. Shore’s work is absolutely brilliant! The music was suitable for a cinematographic epic like Lord of the Rings, in a closure that overflowed from sentiments, magnificence and tragedy. Choosing Annie Lennox to sing “Into The West” was a great selection! Other participants in the soundtrack include the soprano Renee Fleming and the Irish flute musician Sir James Galway. It also includes the fabulous Aragorn of "Lord of the Rings", Viggo Mortensen. An elegant glorious soundtrack that is a must for any Tolkien fan. ~~~Track List~~~: 1. A Storm Is Coming 2. Advantages: One of the most powerful scores for a long time

...Fleming in many places, the flautist Sir James Galway also featuring prominently and, more curiously, the voices of two of the actors, Billy Boyd in "The Steward of Gondor" and Viggo Mortensen in "The Return of the King." Additionally we have the vocals of Annie Lennox in the end credits song "Into the West," that again utilizes the music of Shore himself, though in a more chamber-like setting. On a more curious note, Shore decides not to end the score in a heroic presentation of some theme or another, but instead allows the music to slowly wind down to a close in a kind of resignation or Weltschmertz that one feels after all is said and done. Under special agreement, the score for The Return of the King received an Academy Award Nomination for Best Score for 2003, along with the song. Initially I had my doubts as to the possibility...
