...I'm sure very few of you know this group, that's normal. I've always found that there is so much English music in England, that it leaves very little time and space for foreign music, (apart fom usa music) especially Latino music, to be precise. OK, it's not in English, and little of us understand what they say. How does the rest of the world cope with English music? They don't all speak our language. It's all in the rhythm and the melody. Sometimes the music is so good, it could be sang in absolutely any language, and be just amazing! Yes, even without understanding a word. ...Well priced and with more effort... will this album finally tip the scales of power away from George W. Bush...only time will tell! The Review Finally sounding more like a properly collated punk album, the Rock Against Bush compilation series returns with its second instalment. More refined and two tracks longer than before, 'Rock Against Bush Vol.2' is better value and may well have even greater impact than its predecessor which made number 54 on the American Billboard chart. Once again the majority of the tracks are unreleased or rare, making the album essential listening to fans of any one of the bands included this time round. 3 live tracks, oddly positioned in the middle rather than at the end of the CD, compliment a good range of artists, styles and messages intended once again to increase awareness of the website... Advantages: 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Babooshka' are classics
Disadvantages: may be a bit inaccessible for some

...Recently, viewers of VH1 had the opportunity to vote for who they thought were the best female singers ever. In typical contemporary list-compiling style, modern artists like Anastacia and Nelly Furtado were deemed to be better than the likes of Billie Holliday and Dionne Warwick, whilst 21 year old Britney Spears was riding high in the Top 10, mixing it with Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. The only British artists to accompany Britney et al in the crème de la crème was Kate Bush, a somewhat surprising appearance for an artist notorious in keeping a low profile, and who hasn't released a song in 8 years.
