Advantages: Mostly briliant lyrics, catchy tunes, good beat Disadvantages: Some songs that aren't as catchy
...Pink's newest album and yet again she never fails to amaze us with some of the stuff she comes out with. Quite possibly the most controversial and hard hitting of her albums yet which will be explained on individual tracks. You cannot say that Pink is subtle, she far prefers to slam her menings over your head and hard...which quite possible works far better than subtle on many occassions.
Boring stuff
Artist: Pink
Title: I'm not dead - Controversial in itself - is she saying that her career is not dead considering that 'Try this' was not a brilliant success?
Price: £6.99
Tracks: 16 including bonus tracks
Genre: Pop/Rock
Lyric Style: Controversial as usual!
Cover Art
Interesting to say the least...appears to show Pink bursting out from a funeral wreath, mouth open mid song, and head adorned with a halo of stars...kind of fits...

Advantages: Older Alice Fans May Be Pleased/ / A lot of great songs! Disadvantages: None especially. Some songs may be too bizarre for some to take seriously.
...Shock rock singer Alice Cooper returned in 2003 along with the release of "The Eyes Of Alice Cooper", which not only sports a vintage Alice Cooper appearance through his spider-design eye make-up on the CD sleeve, but also sound wise, but more on that later.
Alice had recently put out two very hard head banging albums, "Brutal Planet" and "Dragontown", both in my opinion are exceptional concept albums full of horror and great imagery. However, "The Eyes of Alice Cooper" sees a departure from this industrial side of Alice, and somewhat returns to his roots. Which are by the way of the 70s, although some material does exist here that is reminiscent of the early 80s, such as the album "Special Forces" and "Flush The Fasion". Although the 80's era for Alice wasn't as successful as the 70's, the 80's music does tend to prove much more...

Advantages: Good overview of career so far Disadvantages: Sacrifices quality for completeness
...and single versions: 'Junk Shop Clothes' pours scorn on those who think their faux-artistic temperament can be revealed and developed purely by the cheap garments they wear ("Lenny Bruce never walked in a dead man's shoes, even for one night"). That such bile is attached to a gorgeous descending chord sequence is a masterstroke that adds an impossibly appealing edge to lyrics that could otherwise be distancing and unpalatable. The Auteurs's strengths definitely lie in these juxtapositions: they're present in 'Subcultcha', a litany of ridiculous behaviour set to driven drums and catchy melody. Perhaps Haines's voice is one of his weak point; a thin wisp that some listeners never quite grasp, but he makes the most of it and connects it to the music and lyrics. 'Housebreaker' and 'Valet Parking' both push glamour into criminal and mundane jobs...
