The Cat In The Hat- not just for Children, I find this hilarious! I first came across this film when my boyfriend bought me it as a present one day. I sat down to watch and found myself not just laughing the whole way though but repeating all the funny voices! With Mike Myers as the voice over, it adds to the comedy of the film! The Film This film came out in 2004 and was released as an animation film which is certainly correct! The film starts with two children who live with their mother and on a cold wet day they find themselves bored with nothing to do. The daughter is very sophisticated and enjoys being her mothers pet, whereas her brother who is older than him is very opposite. He finds himself sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags and being generally mischievous. The cat then comes in and starts off the fun ...

moon walking, political demonstrations and women in bowler hats

Advantages: unique capital city, cheap, friendly people
Disadvantages: high altitide can cause problems

alpaca wool items, bowler hats and other typically Bolivian souvenirs at incredibly low prices. THE DEMONSTRATION: We decided that we would like to walk from here towards the main square where the demonstration was taking place as it was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration in favour of the government and more like a party. A group of four of us went down. There were people everywhere dressed in local traditional costumes, groups from different villages dressed in similar style carrying placards and playing instruments and dancing. On the steps around the square were many local people and a few foreigners watching the procession of these marchers around the square and then down one of the side streets. The Cat is 52 (The Cat in the Hat - Dr Seuss)

Advantages: fun, anarchic, helps with reading, dynamic, reads well aloud
Disadvantages: none

a way that can leave more traditionally minded parents flabbergasted at the complete nonsense that gets uttered. The genius of Dr Seuss lies in the fact that his books stay just about this side of sane, while retaining the free, rather manic, hyper quality of a child running high on their own creativity and laughter. "The Cat in a Hat" is amongst the relatively more conventional of Dr Seuss stories, in the sense that it actually has a clear storyline: the story involves two normal human children, in a normal house, and only when their mother goes out on a wet, boring day, the Seussian magic starts with the appearance of a certain Cat.
