Travis have now released three albums, the first I did not buy, and I am about to buy the third, 'The Invisible Band.' 'The Man Who' by Travis is an excellent album, with the unique, quite high pitched sound of Fran Healy. I bought the single 'Writing to Reach You,' and I loved it, but I did not immediately like 'Driftwood,' but it grew on me, and is now one of my favourites. When I got the album, I listened to it a few times, at first not over impressed, but the more I heard the more I enjoyed it, learning the word to each track, and relaxing to the music. I particually like the tracks 'Writing to Reach You,' 'Turn,' The Fear' and 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me?' These are the main releases, except 'The Fear.' There are some upbeat tunes as well as the slower, quieter tracks on the album, but all seem great to me! I first saw Travis on 'Later With Jools Holland' one night, and I think they are great live, so CD recording does not do them justice. I think you have to be in a certain mood to listen to this album and fully appreciate it, and you must like this style of music. I think it's great, and I'm not a huge Travis fan, but I do think that their work is excellent, I will reserve judgement on their lastest album until I've heard it a few times, although 'Side' sounds good to me.

Advantages: Excellent album, that has a very wide appeal. Some excellent singles and superb album tracks Disadvantages: It's perhaps too good that they raised the expectation too high for the rest of their albums
