...Purple Rain is an amazing cd. Its so uniqe and original, i have never heard anything like it! Its a mixture of 80s pop and rock, with princes unique sound. Every song on 'Purple Rain' has something different about it, like the emotional title track, amazing guitar solo on 'Computer blue', 'I Would Die 4 u' is a great sing along kind of song and then theres the daring 'Darling Nikki'. I have had 'Purple Rain' for quite a while and every time i listen to it i hear it in a different way, it never gets boring. The fact that there is only 9 songs on this album could actually be a good point, as every one of the songs are excellent and have a different quality and emotion to them. I think anyone could enjoy 'Purple Rain', i cant think of any bad points about it it is definitly Prince at his best.... Read review

...: July 1995 (#22) Currie An almost surprisingly short track, quite fast and upbeat. Had a funny video with the band members as babies – um, that sounds a lot weirder than it really was! (3) Kiss This Thing Goodbye: August 1989 (#52), re-released March 1990 (43) Currie/Harvie/Slaven Del Amitri’s first single. Don’t be put off by the appalling chart performance – this is one of the standout tracks of the album. It’s got a foot-tappingly upbeat tune, but the lyrics are actually a plea to end a relationship. (4) Not Where It’s At: June 1997 (21) Currie Again, a nice happy song musically, but the words are about not being able to ‘get the girl’ – I once read that maybe it’s a weather thing: us Scots can’t help but drift towards miserable subjects when we live with rain most...
