When I first heard 'Marcy Playground', it was as a throbbing beat coming from the room next door. I went to complain and to borrow the album. On the first listen I thought that only 'Sex and Candy' was the saving grace of the album, but on re - listening to the tracks I have come to appreciate every one as an original musical experience. The music is very chilled and relaxed although the theme of the lyrics can be somewhat disturbing, for example, vampires and suicide. However, this album is perfect for listening to when chilling out on the sofa or for playing whilst you work. 'Marcy Playground' is an album which requires a certain amount of atmosphere to meet it's full potential, however, it should not be missed from anyone's music collection.

Eek!! Welcome to Ciao - but you got a few things to learn to make a decent review. I hope I can help with the following ideas...! First you need to revise on what makes a great review - check out other peoples work for ideas. You need to think about consumer questions - reviews are mainly there to help consumers decide about products so try drawing yourself a spider diagram. Include track listings and describe each song or groups of songs such as the ballads from the more rockier sounds. Include song lyrics to help explain the moral of the song. What age group would it suit (Explicit language?) What formats are available (tape? CD? maybe both) then consider prices for each, best deals, etc. I have never heard of the band so maybe add information on who they are, award they have won, etc. Include the playing time, record labels and describe the cover/packaging so people can identify the album if they decide it would be a good buy.
