Advantages: Ease of use, SmartSound, improved audio and titling Disadvantages: No background rendering, some new features a bit fiddly.
, zooming in and out as you do so. It only includes three steps but you can control the zoom factor, movement and pause time. A generous selection of presets was a welcome extra as I did find the pan & zoom dialog box a bit fiddly to use. Whilst not useful to everyone, it can be used effectively with a separately recorded narration to add movement and interest to a static image. This sort of presentation used to be popular with educational programs, Blue Peter and so on, usually moving around a battle scene to the accompaniment of yells and sounds of fighting.
Title with Style
The title generator in Video Studio 8 has also been beefed up nicely. Gradient and solid fills can be added behind text to improve its legibility. Some new animations add interest and movement although it's all too easy to get carried away. Less is often more when it ...

*-*-* What is eJay? -*-*-
Well although eJay is a program he is also a professional DJ but I am reviewing the program (eJay special edition) not the professional DJ this program can sometimes be known as Ejay studio? So I'll carry on? eJay is a program for computers that allows you to create your own music, in this case you can create your own Dance, Rave or Hip-hop song. -*-*- This sounds so complicated? -*-*-
Ejay (it was really annoying me to type a capital at the middle of the word?) is not complicated at all, all you need is a little bit ...
Advantages: Fine performances all round, especially Ludwig and Corelli Disadvantages: Callas not in best voice
the funeral pyre.
This was Callas' great role and in some regards this recording captures her greatness but at other times it cannot match her earlier official recording from 1954. Callas is not in her best voice, her high notes wobbly and piercing compared to 1954. One has the feeling that a performance about '56-'57 would have been wonderful. She sings softly far more often in the 1954 set and she is very tender and delicate in those moments. She is at her best in the second half where her confrontation with Pollione is scorchingly intense and her "Oh Rimembranza"is beautifully phrased. There she is joined by Christa Ludwig's Adalgisa which is nicely phrased- Ludwig's voice in bel canto music is remarkable considering how different this is from her regular repertoire of say Wagner - she can match Callas beautifully in the duets. This is ...
