Advantages: Superb performances, compelling story Disadvantages: It's black and white, and some won't take the opportunity to watch this fantastic film
doesn't have that large a role in AllAboutEve, yet whenever he appears, there is a suggestion that something momentous is going to happen - few actors can portray all that with just a few seemingly superficial comments. He overshadows his male colleagues - Gary Merill (Margo's lover) and Hugh Marlowe (the playwright), who are ultimately fairly forgettable (although with any other cast, they would be right up there with the best of them).
The story, written and directed by Joseph L Mankievicz, is fantastically told. It begins almost at the end, at an award ceremony where Eve is about to be given an award. It then skips back in time to when Eve and Margo first meet. The story is largely told through dialogue, but this is interspersed with some narration by different characters, which helps to make their point of view clear. It is these ...
Advantages: Gentle, engaging read Disadvantages: Nothing major - writing style may not appeal to all.
spent the rest of her childhood. Evie?s childhood recollections of her first year in Wales are interspaced with the adult Evie who is expecting her first child. On top of that, a local girl goes missing and Evie secretly becomes friends with someone everyone else believes she shouldn?t?

Put simply this is a brilliant album. It's not just my fellow Coventrian Julianne Regan's awesome voice or Tim Bricheno's guitar wizardry. You got great lyrics written on songs for all kinds of dark moods. If you can't enjoy the counterpoints and melodies presented on this then you have no soul. Well, that's my opinion at least.

It might not seem like it now but Julianne was greatly depressed during the making of this album after her break up with Hinkler & brief relationship with fellow band member Tim Bricheno which broke up (he actually left the band immediately after ...
