A history of the blues on 5 CDs together with a really useful booklet with information about each of the tracks. This collection contains a huge number of tracks from many blues artists ranging from the original recordings of Bessie Smith and Lead Belly to more modern blues tracks from Cassandra Wilson and Bonnie Raitt. It is a great collection if you are a fan of the blues and the old recordings are wonderful. It is not cheap, but it is worth it. I especially like the Big Mama Thornton version of Hound Dog! ...
