Advantages: May be the best contemporary white female blues singer and acoustic guitarist you'll ever hear. Disadvantages: None
...1981 she went back to her roots via the traditional music record label Rounder Records, and from then until now Block has recorded more than a dozen blues albums.
In 1995 her album When a Woman Gets the Blues won the W. C. Handy Award for Best Acoustic Blues Album of the Year, and she was selected by the Martin Guitar Co. to endorse their strings in a national ad campaign. In 1998 she won the W. C. Handy Award again, this time as Traditional Blues Female Artist of the Year.
“HIGH HEELED BLUES,” THE ALBUM:
To me, though, Block was at her best in her very first anthology of blues standards, long before the whole world would learn just how good she was, and maybe even before she would even realize herself just how far she would go.
The album High Heeled Blues was released in 1981 on Rounder Records as an LP and re-released in...

Advantages: Great music all on one CD. Disadvantages: You might not like boy band music.
...Now you're gonna lose me
Throwing away our yesterdays
Everything we planned

A good enough opening track.
This was the principal single release fr5om the album albeit with different ‘B’ sides in Britain (where it peaked at No.35) and America (highest point No.62).
2. Meet Me Halfway ***
This is a pleasant fairly quick paced effort from the two “J”’s (John and Justin)
3. Sitting At The Wheel ****
There is a driving drum beat accompanying John Lodge...
