Advantages: extracts moisture from air, really quiet, holds 10l of water, can be plumbed in Disadvantages: diddly squat
Before getting new windows fitted we suffered from massive amounts of condensation in our home, so much so that damp had actually appeared in the corners of the room where water had run down the wall. Frankly after paying so much for a home I didn't fancy decorating for it all to be ruined while we waited to save up for the windows. My dad suggested a dehumidifer and we bought this one for £85 as it is small enough to sit in the corner of any room without dominating the eyeline.
While it might me small and inobtrusive it weighs a ton even when the drum is empty. There is some seriously heavy motor packed within the engine room of this beast so trying to move it when the 10 litre drum is full is near on impossible.
What can I say about the DEM 10 but it is the best thing I have bought for my home in a very long time. When plugged ...

Our large, four bedroom house is over 200 years old and therefore has no cavity walls to insulate. After a cold and damp 2008 summer we were suffering from condensation and mould problems in spite of extractor fans in both kitchen and bathroom. Time to dehumidify!

The water tank is transparent so that the water level can be seen at a glance and the tank is so easy to remove for emptying - and, more importantly, to replace. Try some of the competition! A length of polythene hose is supplied to enable continuous draining should you want to leave the unit ...

MASH DIRECT
I bet you think 'What a lazy mare!!' when you see that I have bought and used (and quite regularly I may add) ready made mashed potato.
But please hold your judgement on me until you have read this review.
I first came upon this product about six months ago when I was taking the makings of a sunday lunch 60 miles away to my daughters, I wanted it to be quick and easy to prepeare when we arrived there. I had a roasted ham, a pack of prepared brocolli and cauliflower, a pack of potatoes ready for roasting, some asparagus tips and a pack of cheese sauce mix, then in my local Booth's supermarket I came across the Mash Direct range of vegetables so I bought a pack of ready cooked carrots and parsnip and a pack of the mashed potatoes. I was hooked!!!
