I do like to cook meals from scratch but sometimes there just isn't the time so I like to have a few very fast items in the cupboard such as tinned products and this instantmashedpotato so that I can mix together a meal for myself or my other half in a rush.
Smash is incredibly easy to make you just measure out the portion as per the instructions on the packet or to make as much mash as you require (everyone is different aren't they - I like a lot, my other half doesn't!) and then you boil the kettle and add hot water, mix it together & hey presto you've got mashedpotato.
This does come in a few different varieties but I like to buy the original version and then just add a little bit of butter while mixing it together with the hot water to give it a more authentic taste, this is better than the 'buttery' variety that you can get ...
Advantages: Takes a whole minute, tastes good, easy to make, light in weight.... Disadvantages: Can get lumpy if you don't make it properly....
can take part in, and it involves camping out in the countryside and stuff. It's very exciting, and they have to take all their own stuff. So yeah, my brother bought loads of instantmash for three reasons:
1 ~ It is very light due to the real potato being completely dehydrated
2 ~ It is easy to make. Really, I'm not joking. Water, boil, add to smash, stir. Eat.
3 ~ It tastes nice! Well, okay, it can get a bit bland on it's own, BUT, there's another "instant" thing that makes it instantly better! OXO CUBES!!!! Hehe! My bro takes these with him as well.
Okay, hang on. Recap.
HOW TO MAKE

I should add that if you happen to find that you didn't put enough water in, just put a bit more ...
Advantages: Easy to make, cheap, tastes nice Disadvantages: Bit bland for some
The idea for the title of this review of Smash Potato came from my dad, not me, so he takes the credit!
I know this my sound odd to some people, but I really do like the strange taste of Smash Potato. It doesn't taste like real potatoes and obvioulsy the only way you can eat it is in its 'mashed' form, by this, I mean you can't have it in the tradtional whole potato form! It's rehydrated potato, which you make by adding boiled water to it. I'm told that some people don't like the taste and that it tastes artificial. It probably does take a little bit of getting used to, but I actually love it.
I like it with instant gravy poured on top and just eat it out of a bowl when I get back from college and I cant be bothered to make anything else. I like it as a comfort food when I'm feeling a bit down and it reminds me of school ...
