In the two years between the albums we were under the impression that 50 Cent is a heavy gangsta rap hitter. However he goes back on his word in this disappointing album. He promised the bubblegum rap would stop, yet we are treated to songs such as candy shop, just a lil bit, build you up and so amazing featuring g units first lady, olivia.

The album begins with 3 street bangers, 'My Hood', 'This is 50' and the impressive I'm supposed to die tonight' where 50 explains guns, drugs and murder. The missable 'piggy bank' was released as a diss single towards hip hop heavyweights, but fails to capture the imagination. 'Gatman and robin' is back to the talk of guns and murder, with an impressive eminem as the featured artist. The next two songs are two singles, candy shop and outta control remix featuring mobb deep. These two hits are mere r&b songs, although outta control is nice to listen to and good on the ear, it is a long way from the street sound of the first album. Also don't be confused with outta control and the outta control remix. The original is on the standard edition album as track number 8 but is only available as a music video on this special edition. Get in my car is the pop at vivica fox over their break up, and is nothing spectacular. A baltimore love thing is clever, where 50 plays himself as a drug, instead of glorifying selling them, he raps about a situation where his girlfriend is a drug addict. Ryder Music brings out a west coast feel, explaining his financial situation (once again) but is a calm, soothing, soulful track. 2 club bangers feature next, Disco inferno and just a lil bit have the commercial sound and will appeal to the masses, due to the high tempo beats and lyrical content. Gunz come out is somewhat similiar to the first few tracks, with the content all about one thing and one thing only, you guess. My toy soldier is possibly the hardest track on the entire album, in another street sound featuring g unit member tony yayo. The album closes with 5 slower tracks, position of power has the feel of a hustler anthem, the slow piano sound makes it pleasent on the ear, with 50 rapping in a lazy tone. Build you up is one for the ladies featuring Jamie Foxx. God gave me style is an insight into 50's mind, what he feels about life, a slow, nice soothing track. So amazing is a summer track very much in the mould of a ja rule hit, with 50 cent and olivia together, remind you ja rule and ashanti anyone? The album closes with another street track ' i don't need em' the beat is obviously stolen from one of ghostface killas tracks from the same year and quite frankly, is possibly the worst on the album.

Special features include trailers for the game 50 cent:bulletproof and the movie 'get rich or die tryin' Aswell as videos for every song. All in all an ok buy for those who like the watered down hip hop. For those who like street hits and good lyrical content, stay away.
