Which rather leaves this debut album ‘Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed To’ as something of a relic. This is a great shame, as it deserves for better then this. A strange blend of classic powerpop, with elements of 70s FM rock, soul and a healthy measure of ‘Sign O’ ... Read review

Advantages: Soaring, catchy, wonderful music Disadvantages: A few relatively weak tracks
“One, Two, One, Two, Three!” From this yelled countdown Gregg Alexander and an assortment of hired hands exploded onto the world stage in early 1999 with the massive single ‘You Only Get What You Give’, which secured blanket radio play and a healthy chart position on both sides of the Atlantic. Courting controversy Alexander promoted this album, clad in his trade marked floppy hat and trainers by disparaging label mates such ... ...{their} ass in.” on the aforementioned single. In a flurry of publicity this album appeared and shot up the charts, but mediocre live performances and the beginnings of a press backlash caught Alexander off guard. Previously firmly a behind the scenes writer/producer he quickly retired from the limelight to concentrate once again on working with other artists. Advantages: Both Merry and Sad, Uplifting, Intriguing lyrics Disadvantages: One track - maybe youve been brainwashed too - slightly strange, highly underrated
...How wrong could you get. Maybe you've been brainwashed too is one of the most underrated, brilliant albums of recent times. Gregg Alexander's writing and production are something to marvel at as this album takes you on highs and lows. Along with the great single you get what you give, this album has many great tracks. The opener, Mother we just cant get enough, is described wholly by what one of the backing singers says at the beginning - "make my ... ...we'll know and Jeovah made this whole joint for you, both excellent, sad, slow, and upbeat chirpy songs respectfully. This album is great to listen to on a summers day, it has that feel to it. Buy this record, You Get What You Give, the mega popular single, doesnt do this album justice. ...

Advantages: Easy to listen to, melodic tunes. Disadvantages: The band has broken up :(

Since this album was released the New Radicals have sadly broken up, so there will be ...

Advantages: catchy tunes Disadvantages: sound as if they are high on drugs in some songs
This is one of the best CDs I own. A friend persuaded me to buy it as he has it and thinks it is brilliant.
I finally found it and bought it for £11.99. It was a brilliant decision. On the CD there are hits such as You Get What You Give. Other tracks on the CD include Mother We Just Can't Get Enough, I Hope I didn't Just Give Away The Ending, I Don't Wanna Die Anymore, Someday We'll Know and Technicolour Lover.
For me, the best song on the whole ...
