for me this song doesnt fit with the rest of the album so well, its a good tune just feels slightly out of place
5. Edgar Winter- Above and beyond ( also containing 6.Ray Mang & Nathan D'troit- off side) but actually a seperate tune as far as i can tell, due to more tracks on cd than stated
Again for me 2 of the weaker tunes, slightly dull
7. Mr Flagio- take a chance
back to the 80s with another top tune, with their own electronic twist.

not much to be said, ok but nothing special

Advantages: 2 CD set offers a lot of songs, most of which are rather good, musical progression Disadvantages: Can't help feeling the whole is less than parts, moving away from musical roots
...Brothers. Deprived of former vocalist, Holkenborg’s called in a number of celebrity guests for this latest outing. CD 1 (3 PM) features a guest on every track, bar three brief interludes (barely a minute each) – from Saffron (ex-Republica) on three tracks to Chuck D, Gary Numan, Solomon Burke and Feeder’s Grant Nicholas.
There’s a concept behind this album, which is to recreate a pirate radio broadcast. (That’s what the interludes are in aid of). I’m not a big fan of arty ‘concept’ albums, but nor would I say I particularly disapprove as long as they don’t spoil the music. Thankfully here the intrusion is rare, but unfortunately the end of Chuck D’s ‘Access to the Excess’ does suffer from a talk over introducing Solomon Burke...
The idea does at least make sense of the variety of vocalists on offer. Distinctive voices like Numan...
