Advantages: Tiger tiger burning bright Disadvantages: On a busy day I think I would have hated this place
We took a trip to Colorado last May and despite staying close to Denver, we really didn't spend much time in the city. With just a couple of days to go before we flew home we thought we'd better do some intense sightseeing and set off into Denver to see as much as we could in just one day. Our final stop was a trip to the Downtown Aquarium. We'd done a bit of history at the State Capitol, had a hefty dose of culture at the Denver Art Museum and now we needed a seriously fishy experience to top off a great day out.
I love big aquariums so I was quite excited to see what Denver would have to offer. However I've been to enough aquariums that I'm getting a bit picky about what I like and what I don't and I've become more than a little cynical about the ploys such places employ to try to make the already fascinating underwater world more ...
Advantages: See the city in one day Disadvantages: We didn't have enough time to do all the tour
details.
The whole process was very simple and I felt very happy dealing with this company.
***The Tours***
It tells you on your e-tickets for the bus tours that you have to take them to the office at Jefferson Street, which is in the Fisherman's Wharf district, just round the corner from where the tours commences on Leavenworth. The office opens at 9am and you hand over your details to receive maps of the tour areas and your boarding passes. Separate tickets are not needed for the Alcatraz section of the tour, as the actual tickets needed are the ones you print out at home.
The staff in the office were really chatty and helpful, giving us all the information about the times of the Golden Gate Tours, which run 3 times a day and informing us that the Downtown Loop runs every half hour from 9am - 6pm.

Advantages: Great Acting, excellent story Disadvantages: Some sad scenes of the Afghan suffering
Charlie Wilson's War is a film which I had been undecided about for a few weeks so I finally took the plunge and bought it. I think the deciding factor was that it stared Tom Hanks and Julie Roberts, both of which I like.
The film features Charlie Wilson, played by Tom Hanks who is a party loving Congress man. He is good friends with Joanne who is a rich Socialite, played by Julia Roberts. Joanne manages to talk Charlie into looking at the troubles in Afghanistan where they are being invaded by the Russians. Charlie goes and sees the troubles first hand and is shocked at what he finds. He does agree to help Joanne by getting the weapons and ammunition which they need to defend their country. To do this Charlie is helped by a CIA agent, Gust Avrakotos and soon finds he needs to persuade the Congress to give them large amounts of money ...
