Advantages: one or two good songs, quite good guitar riffs. Disadvantages: lack the old spirt that casually dressed had, songs become bland, no real emotion

It has some great songs but there lyrics and style are kind of ruined by a pop style lyrics, it doesn't just have the same in your face amazing sense like streetcar or rookie of the year. The album in my own opinion the album's lyrics is a mix between their previous albums Tales Don't Tell Themselves and Hours but a dull version. The only good tracks are Constant Illuminations, Kicking And Screaming, Rules And Games and maybe To Die Like Mouchette, the other songs just seem to sound too similar to each other and become bland. I just can't help but feel the lack of emotion or energy that Casually Dressed and their EP had, what made it so brilliant on so many levels, this album lacks that. The songs are good in them self but none-stand out really. My advice would to be listen to each song individually and the one's i mentioned above and buy them individually as i feel the album has a whole is not worth the money or the support. Overall i would only give it a 2/5, it's a shame really since one or two songs are very good but just lack their old spirit that their EP and Casually Dressed had.
I always go by if an album can make me sing along to it and feel something inside, it's worth the buy, This album didn't do much if next to nothing for me.
Advantages: A lot better than Tales. Disadvantages: Some tracks are very varied and poppy.
This album is a bit like marmite in that you either love it or you hate it; i love it.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer some of the older FFAF material by far; but this album demonstrates a lot of maturity from the band and easily beats Tales in my opinion.
A lot of people I have spoken to about this album say it has taken them a long time to adjust to the sound and get used to the new album, i agree as i originally hated the album. After a few plays ... ...really is; a new album and not another version of casually dressed. For me "Constant Illuminations" has to be my favourite song, I am not a massive fan of "Kicking and Screaming" mainly because i find it a bit too poppy and repetitive at times. Otherwise I highly recommend this album. ...

Album Notes
Fourth album from the Welsh screamo heroes, the follow-up to 2007's 'Tales Don't Tell Themselves' and the first to be issued on their own label, Join Us. This release sees them marrying the more overtly stadium rock-inspired style they explored on the last album with the brutal breakdowns of yore, whilst retaining their killer knack for melody. The result is a cohesive, well-structured set which is perhaps their most rounded to date. Includes the single 'Waterfront Dance Club'.
