Advantages: Easy to listen to Songs Disadvantages: CD2 a bit poor
...Have you ever heard a song on the radio and wondered what it is? That tune buried in the recesses of your mind that youve not heard for 20 years suddenly evokes memories of times gone by. Chances are there is one of those songs on the Manfred Mann Album The Evolution of Manfred Mann. Many of the songs are instantly recognisable having been used as theme tunes to TV programs or adapted for adverts. Most are pleasant melodic tunes that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Advantages: Catchy songs with wonderful lyrics Disadvantages: Takes a while to grow on you
...When it was first released, the only way you could have bought this album was through Aimee Mann's own website. Now, thanks in no small measure to the success of the film Magnolia, coupled with Mann's superb Oscar nominated song, 'Save Me', it's getting the kind of widespread release it deserves.
If ever there was a cloud with a silver lining, it was Universal's decision to reject this album on the grounds that it saw no 'radio friendly' singles on it. Having since bought back her songs and released them independently on her own label, she's now in a position to say a big "screw you" to her previous employers. Bachelor No. 2 is filled with the kind of catchy songs and simple, direct lyrics that stick in your head for months on end, and it was no surprise to see it on many a critic's top ten list at the end of 2000.

Advantages: brilliant sound to it, I Don;t Know Why Disadvantages: some mediocre songs esprciall "It's All About"
...I am not afraid to admit I like Marti Pellow. I think he has a fabulous soulful voice. However I get frustrated with some of the material he has recorded both in his solo career and with the Wets. He has done a lot of MOR, sickly sweet ballads. However when Marti is on full form such as on "Hard To Cry", the highlight of his debut album and more recently "Walking On Water" from the Wet's newest Greatest Hits CD, or even his version of "Heaven Help us All" from his original Memphis Sessions way back in 1986 he is hard to beat. His voice is powerful, soulful and just sends shivers down my spine. When I heard he was releasing the album he has always dreamed of recording backed with a stunning live performance on Jonathan Ross's Saturday morning radio show I decided to buy the album "Moonlight Over Memphis".
