Advantages: Every Track Is A Winner! Disadvantages: None!
By the end of the 1970's DianaRoss' recording career was back on shaky ground. Her studio albums, the excellent Baby It's Me (1977) and the hodge podge production of Ross (1978) had sold disappointingly. Not only that but her third silver screen venture The Wiz (1978) performed badly at the Box Office and became something of an embarassing fiasco to all concerned, not least to Ross who was virtually ridiculed by critics.
DianaRoss always had that drive, determination and uncanny ability to bounce back no matter what set back her career endured (and she certainly has had more than her fair share of set-backs, especially in more recent years). At the fall of 1979 she wisely focused her attention on fixing her flagging recording career. As it stood, she hadn't had a major chart hit since 1976 with the exciting, tempo-shifting Disco ...
Advantages: These are two of their greatest studio albums Disadvantages: None!
DianaRoss and the Supremes continued their classic run of mega hits into 1966 where that nifty Motown classic You Can't Hurry Love became their SEVENTH chart-topping single. You Can't Hurry Love is one of The Supremes definitive classics. Lead singer DianaRoss whips along the verses with conviction, surfboarding along the upbeat musical arrangements. You Can't Hurry Love bounced to No.3 on the U.K charts though Phil Collins managed to take his (inferior) version to the top of the British charts seventeen years later in 1983. You Can't Hurry Love was the only chart-topping single originally by The Supremes to be found on the accompanying album, The Supremes A Go Go (1966).
Even more exciting was the rip-roaring, sassy and evocative Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart. Those jamming musical arrangements courtesy of Motowns in house ...

Full Review
Legendary soul diva DianaRoss had not fully been recognised by critics as an important albums act at the point when the excellent diana had been released. Her studio albums had always drawn a mixed critical response though some met wide acclaim such as her magnificent and totally stunning debut DianaRoss (1970), Lady Sings The Blues Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (1972), the absolutley superb, divine DianaRoss (1976 ...
