Album Notes: Annihilator: Jeff Waters (vocals, guitars, bass guitar, background vocals); Dave Padden (vocals, background vocals); Mike Mangini (drums).
Advantages: good riffs, thrash at amongst its best Disadvantages: recording quality bit lacking
...Annihilator are said to be a Canadian cross between old school Metallica, Megadeth, Iron maiden, and slayer. In all reality, they are not really any of these but their own branding of thrash metal. This album I chose to review as it was one of their two greatest efforts. This album was their second release, after their critically acclaimed debut ‘Alice in hell’. Good features of this band include singing rather than screaming, fast guitars, and just generally good songs.
Background of the band:
Annihilator is led by guitarist and occasional vocalist Jeff waters. He formed the band in Canada inn 1984. The band’s main success came from their first two releases but the band remains active still with several line up changes. The band is mostly known for Jeff waters’ virtuosic guitar playing ability.

Advantages: Brilliant guitarwork, lyrics give a history lesson about egypt! Disadvantages: none
...This band has been recognized as one of the best death metal bands in the world at the moment. They combine the basic elements of the death metal genre, combine it with egyptian history and mythology and out comes some of the best music you would have heard in this genre in a while! The band have a very good understanding of their instruments and music in general because some of the music is amazingly well written, and has obviously taken time and care. They are the Beethoven's of Death Metal. They craft a unique sound wich is instantly recognizable that of egyptian sounding chord's and lead passages combined to create a very epic sound. On the album the band use an array of different instruments to gain that egyptian sound.

Advantages: Great Thrash Album, Also Very Talented Musicians Disadvantages: Very Underground Band
...Annihilator are a Canadian thrash metal band, their debut album Alice In Hell was released in 1989. King Of The Kill is a great album to say the least. Annihilator really did do a great follow up album to Set The World On Fire (1993). King Of The Kill was released in 1994 however it has very late 1980's thrash sound.
'The Box' - This track has a fairly slow beat and is by no means the greatest track on the album, a very rhythm based track.
'King Of The Kill' - This track kicks off with a great thrash guitar riff which continues through the verses, the track is very based around this riff. Classic Thrash.
'Hell Is A War' - A Clean ballad style track to begin with, then the a slow thrash rhythm and the track speeds up towards the end.
Then returns to the intro sytle ballad.
'Bliss' - A Melodic Interlude
'Second To None...
