Album Reviews: Muzik (12/00, p.98) - 4 out of 5 - "...Very serious....his best record for ages. The warm, measured ambience andminimal motorik rhythms...fit the striking visuals..."
Advantages: Jeff Buckley, Live, Godly, Music Disadvantages: Short
...In this live album Jeff does some of his Grace songs, some covers and some songs that to my knoledge never got released as a studio recording.
Mystery white boy, the tours of 95-96 is a CD covering Jeffs unsatiable appetite for his own live music. He had a knack of never doing a song the same more than once, This is shown in effect by listening to his other live albums (such as "Live at sine").

Advantages: Jeff Buckley's amazing voice, and talent Disadvantages: Very few
...Jeff Buckley was a wonderful song writer and musician, with possibly the best voice that has existed in the world of music! An extremely skilled man, especially with the ability at singing in both falsetto and his normal singing range, in order to give himself a huge range of notes that he is able to use in his music! I've never heard a man with such a beautiful voice.
Jeff Buckley's only full studio album made before his death, "Grace", includes songs that Buckley has covered, but also his own songs. The album demonstrates both his amazing song writing ability, and also the skill he had in order to make a song his own, and to put his own stamp on that song!
Buckley covers 3 song on the album to make them sound completely different, and I feel that he does this extremely successfully. Both Buckley's songs, and the ones that he has...

Advantages: vibrant, exciting, interesting, with a whole range of songs Disadvantages: none, except that it's on a disc, and never will be truly live again
...Jeff Buckley died a few years ago, in May 1997. The only full album released before his death was Grace, and that was a supreme introduction to him. His voice was magical, very special; he could reach all notes and when he sang, he carried a personality to be proud of. He was a dare-devil, a practical joker, and unfortunately this led to his death when he drowned in a tragic accident in Memphis. Since then his mother, Mary Guibert, and the members of his band, Michael Tighe, Matt Johnson and Mick Grondhahl, have released works by Jeff, so that he may live on after his death. The album he was working on at the time of his death was My Sweetheart The Drunk, and this was released as a 'Sketches for' album, containing mostly Jeff on his own, practising and trying out new methods. Mystery White boy was released this year, and it...
