Advantages: glossy, long lashes Disadvantages: too expensive, not enough volume
given the name 'Bad Gal Lash', that I would get very thick dark, perhaps even smudgy looking, rock-chick lashes. I was surprised that in fact the opposite seems to be true. My lashes definitely have added length, but there is very little added volume. This gives a quite subtle look, which is very demure and girly. It's a nice look, just not what I was expecting.
The mascara is long lasting and I haven't experienced it flaking out at all, which has happened with other brands. I do wear contact lenses and have not found this mascara irritates my eyes in any way.
As it doesn't say anywhere on the packaging that this is waterproof, I can only assume it isn't.
Aside from not adding much volume, I think the other main negative point about this has to be the price. Obviously mine came free with a magazine, but if you were to buy this it ...

The Benefit brand originated in San Francisco and follows the ethos of vintage glam, it reminds me of the 1940's era. The official website for the brand (www.benefitcosmetics.com) states that the aim was to create stores with a candy store like atmosphere. I bought thieir mascara for the first time when I moved away to university. Before that I hadn't had access to the brand Benefit and it's counters.
The mascara comes in a chunky tube, with white lettering on it for the brand name and words BAD gal, the word lash is written in pink. The wand is possibly one of the biggest ones I have ever seen in a mascara, which is perhaps why it is so successful in creating really big and volumised lashes when I use it. The containter holds 8.5grans or product and usually lasts me about six months; I am currently on my second tube.

I received Benefit Bad Gal lash as a Christmas gift as my family are aware of how much i love Benefit products. I was very excited to use it and had high expectations of it as it is rather pricey and Benefit has such a good reputation.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the product. The application was fairly straightforward but even the first coat was rather clumpy. The black colour was strong which was good but the consistency is too thick and I had to comb through my lashes a lot more than I would usually need to.
I would hasten to add though, that this experience has not put me off Benefit make up in general, I remain a fan of the brand but I don't use this mascara anymore and wouldn't buy it again. ...

Along with fellow Bahians like Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethania, and Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa was one of the key figures in the tropicalismo movement that was the Brazilian equivalent of America's late-'60s countercultural revolution. Her long, prolific career has taken her from lush balladry to bouncy pop and iconoclastic experimentation. MY NAME IS GAL draws from a 13-year period of releases on the Verve label. The first thing MY NAME IS GAL makes apparent is Costa's eclecticism and knack for combining the outre with the sweet. The mission statement that is this collection's title track begins innocently enough, but ends with an unhinged-sounding Costa shrieking over frenetic fuzz guitar. "Nao Identificado" leads off with an explosion of electronic/psychedelic effects, only to turn quickly into a smooth ballad. Costa proves equally at home with American-influenced, Joplinesque blues turns and elegant, highly orchestrated crooning. Whatever her mode of expression, though, her remarkably expressive voice supplies a strong contextual thread all by itself.
