Ceilidh Dancing to extreme

**What Is It?** The Celtic Collection vol. 3 is Ceilidh music. A celidh, by the way, is a dance with only scottish dancing. This CD has 12 tradtional songs so it would be great if your where hosting a Ceilidh or if you just love dancing! This is a one disk CD written by various artists. **Quality of Music?** It is great! It is very clear and you can hear the accordion espiecially well! There is no voice in this and only the main folk instruments accordion,fiddle and a little drums. It is very well recorded so you can put it as loud as you like or a softly as you like and you can still hear it clearly. **Cover Quality** Very nice. Has a celtic not around the edge as a border then a view of the ocean. Think it is Loch lomond but not sure? Anyway very nice picture and the back with the traclist is clear. It does lack color ...

"Are You Ready?"

Advantages: Fairly diverse themes
Disadvantages: Can feel long

Much of the music in this album is performed and recorded by Jim Johnston, so he can ready a rock rhythm as well as show a saxophone solo. Seems I've had to resort to the track-by-track review. My ratings are as follows: [*] - Nothing really catches the attention. [**] - Something grabs my attention. [***] - Gets me air-drumming, air-guitaring and singing along to the track. 1. The Undertaker; 5. Kane; 7. Gangrel / The Brood The three dark themes are decent, but it feels as if they linger for too long. [**] 2. Edge There's something somewhat strangely soothing about the female voice samples on echo and alternately panned left and right. The listener is kept on the edge by the instruments coming to life. The Album Who Rocks You (All Night)

Advantages: Consistency of sound, not mixed, great value
Disadvantages: Formulaic after a while, lacks credibility

-minute section I liked and keep playing that over and over again. With Clubland 3 I just find myself playing the whole thing over and over again. My only other criticism would be that the album doesn't have a particular flow - the tracks are arranged without any apparent logic or order, so a fairly fast track will be followed by a more mellow one. As an overall listening experience, the whole thing therefore feels slightly random. One thing that I have noticed about this series as time has progressed is that the music is generally getting gayer. Both this album and the last contain a number of quite cheese-tastic cover versions of old songs, generally to rather camp effect. The most memorable example of this is Karen Parry’s cover version of Flashdance, which could have been taken straight off the soundtrack to Queer as Folk. (It’s ...
