But rhymes by Finsta Bundy and Ken `Duro' Ifill rate, and when Rino busts it in Japanese, you hear the international hip-hop underground in full effect." - Rating: B+

Some of my best friends hate this album
Review of Some Of My Best Friends Are DJ's - Kid Koala by  andthentherewere

Advantages: It comes with a comic book
Disadvantages: Its odd, very odd

...it very easily if you have it on repeat. So, here we go. TRACKS (15) STRAT HEAR (0:05) Its 5 seconds long. It says "Yes I believe we're about to begin" Thats about it! BASIN STREET BLUES (4:47) Lonely bass starts this album which is backed up by that lovely vinyl crackle that is lost in this era of digital. A horn is brought in to join the bass. However its not quite any type of horn. Its a horn that is scratched and pitch blended to give the appearance of differing notes. Now if thats hard to imagine then, well yeah its hard to imagine. Its noticable that its horn but also it has that lil undertone of DJed that you'll find in stuff like DJ Krush. A soft drum line, with a couple of samples this tune is chilled out. Its what it says it is, its the blues with a twist. RADIO NUFONIA (0:51) A more obvious DJed number here... Read review

Hallucinogenic Substances from France.
Review of Substances - DJ Cam by  cedr_c

Advantages: everything.
Disadvantages: huh?

...favourite artist, next to DJ Krush and DJ Shadow, both belonging to the same genre and surrounding around the same way of thinking. So, "Substances" is DJ Cam's second album, but, anyone familiar with it will [ have to ( yes i'm rude :-) ] agree, his major one overall. Released back in november 1996 on his own label Inflamable Records, following his first opus [ "Underground Vibes", 1994, on tiny french label Street Jazz ], "Substances" literally printed an idelible step in abstract hip-hop history. I see you coming, you are going to ask why huh. Well, this is self explanatory, you just need to listen... Indeed, "Substances" almost reaches perfection, built with the best assets abstract music can offer: funky scratches, symphonic and psychedelic instrumental backgrounds, mastered eclectic beats and, occasionally, feminine voices always... The DJ, The Rapper, And Their Great Hits
Review of Collections - DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince by  XICripZ

Advantages: All the hits
Disadvantages: Couple of weak tracks

...The Album This is an unofficial compilation of some of the best tracks from DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince during the best years of their Hip Hip music career. It has on all of the most memorable tunes that Jazzy Jeff produced on Will Smith rapped on from 1987, when they debuted, to 1993, when "Code Red" was released. That was the last LP they released with new content to it. The Artists DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (Will Smith), are a Hip Hop duo from Philadelphia. The pair are known to be the complete opposite of what Hip Hop is known for today (money, cars and beef), so they are more likely to be enjoyed by a broader range of music-listeners. They do still appeal to Hip Hop heads, because Jazzy Jeff's style of production and turntablism encorporates aspects of roots Hip Hop, bringing back the good old... Read review
