Well if you want someone to blame for all the 3 piece punk-pop bands reliesing song after song, this is the band your after. Not to say they are the 1st punk-pop band, not by along shot but they are very influencial. This album sceams teenage rebelion with song like 'I'm not a loser', a song about there hatrid of rich kids, and 'Perents', your typical "I hate my perents" song. Aswell as that there are a few love songs thrown in for good measure.
The band really have tonnes of anger and you can tell this from every aspect of song, from the vocails to the drums. The vocial are what carry this band, as without them they would have just blended in to every other band of this type (but are slightly shouty). The guitar, bass and drums are reasonably simple (on par with bands like Greenday) but played with passion and a very fuzzy distrotion.
The highlight of this ablum are Hope, I'm not a loser and Suburban home. All of which would hold their own on any punk-pop comperlation. But like most album there are a few songs you feel are just there to make the album longer like I wanna be a bear.
This is a great album by great band with just a few weak songs. Please rate and comment, thanks. Cam
