The first single released off this second album is not a true reflection of the type of sound the album is. 'You had me' has a very hard hitting and dance feel to it. I believe that there are three elements to this album and the first is her voice. I think that her voice has maintained that same soulful style from her first album. The next element is the lyrics and the point about this is that the lyrics seem to be more expressive as in that they express the meaning and mood of the song. Finally the music that has been used is much more daring and the album seems to have experimented with different sorts of sound. In my opinion the music on the album has a good variation of slow, up beat and ballad music. I found that liked all the music on the album and didn't have a problem with any of the tracks. However some of the tracks are suited for particular moods such as easy listening and calm i would recommend the last track 'sleep like a child'. If you did enjoy the first album 'soul sessions' then i would recommend this album as i think that this showcases her voice more.
