Serj Tankian Elect the dead
Review of Elect The Dead [Digipak] - Serj Tankian by JeroBear

Advantages: Good vocals, intelligent lyrics, some good heavy rock
Disadvantages: Nothing new if you've heard System of a Down

...This solo project from System of a Down singer Serj offers little to surprise. Fans of SoaD will know what to expect; people who never liked them will not like this either. For those who don't know, the general structure to the songs is (i) open with an explosion of jagged guitar, very loud; (ii) stop of all a sudden and out of breath (iii) have some eccentric vocals (iv) throw in some eastern sounds - Tankian is Armenian - and go loud again. The lyrics are as political and clever as you'd expect, raging about war and politics, though they do have a certain gravitas to them. For those who don't know: born in Beirut, Lebanon, to Armenian parents, Tankian is an outspoken political activist who puts his money where his mouth is. He is the co-founder, along with Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, of Axis Of Justice, a non... Read review

A collection of folklaw + haunting tales of magic.
Review of Led Zeppelin IV (Vinyl Replica Edition) [Digipak] [Remastered] - Led Zeppelin by darkangelwing

Advantages: Folk tales, gentle acoustics, haunting vocals strung along with perfectly distorted guitars, the height of rock n roll!!!
Disadvantages: NONE

...portrait of the lampholder to create even more imagination along with stairway to heaven. Led zeppelin IV is the most famous and unique led zeppelin album.Unlike it's predocessors led zeppelin 1 and 2 which were full of crashing drums, high vocals, organs ace bass lines and hendrix like guitar solos led zeppelin IV is'nt a rock album in my opinion it is a magical folk/rock album full of secrets and magic. The album consists of the same basic led zeppelin pattern, there are 8 tracks, the album starts with an explosive bluesish opening track and climaxes and ends with the rock ballad with beutiful harmonichas as it's final track. There literally is'nt a dull track on this album but the backbone of this album is'nt Bonham's drumming but something more mysterious.Plant's voice is doubled up in places to add a more haunting effect almost ghostlike... Theres no Definitely Maybes here, They r Back!
Review of Don't Believe The Truth (Limited Edition/+DVD/Parental Advisory) [Digipak] [PA] - Oasis by madferit76

Advantages: Rock n Roll, Pop & Soul, The proper sounds are back!
Disadvantages: Theres no Definitely Maybes here, The Boys from Manchester are Definitely Back!

...Theres no Definitely Maybes here, The Boys from Manchester are Definitely Back! Their Sixth Studio Album has the Gallagher Boys returning to the top of the league of Rock N Roll, Pop N Soul working alongside once again -"The Shroud" Jay Darlington on Keyboards and The Son of the Legendary Beatle, Ringo Starr (aka Richard Starkey), Zak Starkey.. Simply an amazing move to bring him on board.... Then theres the usual Guitarists Andy Bell and Gem Archer who bring something different now they have firmly established themselves in Britains Favourite Band... From Start to finish, its all good.. Andy Bells Turn up the Sun kicks it off with a Midnight Cowboy type intro feel, that soon explodes into explosive rock n roll.. The next, one of many to be written by the man himself, Noel Gallagher, Mucky FIngers is nothin like he has written... Read review
