I hate going into Gap on a saturday. Gap has a childrens department, which means you have to content with crying kids, and mums with prams (am I the only one who noticed that some people think that having a pram gives them a god given right to push you out of the way: hard) Anyway, I digress. Now I work full time (I hate having a summer job) the only chance i got to go shopping was on a Saturday, until I discovered shopping online: enter Gap Online. On first entering the site I was really impressed. It seemed really fresh and uncluttered, just like the high street store. Crisp white background with the immediately identifiable gap logo. It was well laid out, and the pictures were really clear. Mr Bean - Vol. 2 DVD

Advantages: Hilarious comedy, good viewing
Disadvantages: only 3 episodes, expensive to buy whole set individually

Another installement to my DVD collection - the epic and classic comedy hero - Mr Bean. I love Rowan Atkinson, especially in Black Adder and also in the classic Mr Bean episodes. Despite my mood before hand, after watching Mr Bean I always feel much better, he always manages to intrigue my imagination with his biazarre mannerisms and abilty to turn the most straight forward of tasks into complete disaters! Having not being able to buy the whollebox set I have had to purchase and review each DVD volume one by one. This DVD contains 3 episodes, each with 3 or 4 sketches in them. All of whihc are brilliant and this DVD includes one of my favourites - the one where he goes to the swimming pool and clings to the diving board. The three episodes are entitled: Episode 1. 'The Curse Of Mr Bean', Episode 2. 'Mr Bean Goes To Town ...

Review of Mr Bean Vol.2 (DVD)

Kill Bill: Vol. 2

Advantages: Looks nice, final chapter is impressive.
Disadvantages: Lack of originality, entirely dull for most of running time.

Does Quentin Tarantino actually serve any kind of purpose? This question has been bothering me for a while, largely after the first Kill Bill, a film that annoyed me in a big way. I went into it expecting to enjoy it, and came out bored stupid after seeing two hours and what felt like badly assembled clips from other films. Looking back on his career, his trend is hardly a new one for him. Jackie Brown resembles a ton of 70s crime films. Reservoir Dogs is just a remake of Long hu feng yun, a 1987 Hong Kong film. Pulp Fiction appears to be his only original works, and deserves all of the praise that it gets. It's a stunning film. This aside though, there seems to be little point in what he does.
