I hate going into Gap on a saturday. Gap has a childrens department, which means you have to content with crying kids, and mums with prams (am I the only one who noticed that some people think that having a pram gives them a god given right to push you out of the way: hard) Anyway, I digress. Now I work full time (I hate having a summer job) the only chance i got to go shopping was on a Saturday, until I discovered shopping online: enter Gap Online.
On first entering the site I was really impressed. It seemed really fresh and uncluttered, just like the high street store. Crisp white background with the immediately identifiable gap logo. It was well laid out, and the pictures were really clear. In this novel Bosch has finally broken his ties with the LAPD and gone into work as a private investigator spending time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The tubes can get busy at certain times of the day on certain routes, try and investigate this before you go just to avoid that mad rush etc. Try and investigate events such as concerts, street parades etc as this could make a slight difference to the amount of passengers.
I did look on the website (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/home.aspx) for information about the tube services, unfortunately I did not notice the closures on the Victoria line and our experience was ruined by this. I am sure it was on the website I just didn't see it. It is always best checking this before your travels so that you can plan for this and make alternative arrangements.
Fortunately this experience has not put me off for life. I have learnt many lessons from my journey all of which I will keep in mind ...
