Wonderful collection of songs from this original songwriter and singer. I did not expect to especially like this, but I found myself playing the CD over and over as the music grew on me.
Soul Sound is here - recorded by Sugababes and nominated for an MTV Award in 2001 (I think), but my favourite is Twisted, which is tipped to be a single soon. Joy Tobing has a number of Charlotte's songs on her album, Rise, and she does a great job on them, but I prefer CGC's own voice: not as powerful, perhaps, but somehow more soulful and authentic.
I could imagine Annie Lennox doing covers of a couple of tracks, and at least one is crying out for backing by a gospel choir.
