CharlesMingus - In a Soulful Mood.
CharlesMingus, also known as "The angry man of Jazz", is a fantastic jazz bassist and composer. He was born in 1922 in Arizona and picked up the Double Bass in high school. He had previously learnt to play the cello and trombone so many of his cello skills were converted to double bass. In his early years he was composing incredibly advanced jazz pieces, some of which to be recorded later on.
Over his career Mingus recorded in excess of 70 records with various musicians passing through his often unconventional bands. Charles Bridge is probably one of Pragues most recognised landmarks. For many years, Charles Bridge was the only way to cross the River Vltava that flows through the middle of the City. Nowadays there are many bridges connecting Old Town Prague and the New Town but there is still something very special about the Charles Bridge that makes it stand out from all the others.

Today, the Charles Bridge can only be crossed on foot, but with it being a very popular attraction in Prague, it is literally crammed with crowds of people all day long. There is no fee for crossing the bridge but tourists are invited to walk up the tower ...
Advantages: Brilliant, a real return to past Spielberg excellence. Disadvantages: Momentary lapses of style, nothing serious.
I know originality is a precious commodity to come by these days, but I hoped that at least Spielberg would have been able to muster some and not just mimic other movies. He tried hard but there were definite touches of The Matrix, Robocop, Total Recall, The Terminator, The Fugitive and also every other Spielberg movie. I appreciate how hard it must have been to make a satisfactory adaptation of a Philip K Dick novel and I was also impressed that we didn?t simply get Blade Runner 2. Many Directors find it hard to make a futuristic film without showing off every cool idea they had and often forget to tell a story, lost in their own inventiveness. Spielberg did this a little with A.I and got carried away with the robots and his own imagination. So it is good to see that Minority Report uses its setting to good effect but does not go ...
