I can honestly not understand why they went THIS mainstream, and became so popular by selling out theire old style with this commercial bogus! I was full of hope, new Linkin Park album, this should rock ( I had Somewhere I Belong in the back of my mind ). Soft kiddy rock, or should I just call it what it is, mainstream POP. I laughed my butt off, it is sad that Linkin Park has become like this, and they lost a lot of fans with this sell out. 'What I've Done' Is being used in commercials, The other songs that are even worse, and the ?Ballad? They made is truely to get sick of. He has the voice of a screamer, so he should not sing something deep on a slow pace, it is disgusting to hear. - 'Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight' is officially the biggest sell out and dissapointment of 2007.
I do agree Linkin Park has got very mainstream just lately. If you re-edit, i'll be happy to give you a better rating. At least it didn't take me ages to read. : )
I know the least you want on some of your first reviews is people telling you what to do, but seriously it does help by taking there advice. My first reviews were awful, seriously the worst things you've ever read. The main advice is read other peoples' reviews, if you like to write about cd's, see how other people write about them. I usually do a bit on the singer, there previous albums, the songs and then a conculsion. this is enough to either get you very helpful ratings or exceptionals, this in the long run is more money. :-) THat's what we're all here for really. Feel free to come knockin at my door (guestbook) if you want. Kirsty. x
Great review! Was never a massive fan of linkin park but I did enjoy their original and catchy sound. Seems like they have sold out if they have entirely changed their sound to appeal more to the 'mainstream'. Good to know that this is an album to steer well clear of. Feel free to browse any of my reviews, cheers!!
ties in mainstream music. Like its predecessors Hybrid Theory (2000) and Meteroa (2003), Minutes to Midnight flexes plenty of decibel-heavy muscle ("Given Up," "Bleed I...
