This honestly is a fantastic album. The woman really can sing and she's put her heart and soul into this. She's got a beautiful, powerful voice and because she's written the songs herself they really come alive. I can't imagine anyone not liking this album, it's got everything. It's more gentle than her earlier stuff with the fugees and really easy to listen to. But if you do like it i would recommend that you listen to her early fugees stuff too, it's also very, very good, perhaps just a little younger and more "tough" but there are songs on the THE SCORE that are just as beautiful as those on her solo album. Killing me softly for example has got just as much magic and there's also a lot more humour on the score. LAST OF ALL, have you heard the beautiful duet she's done with santana on his latest album called put your lights down low. it's lovely. take a listen.
