Michael Caine is a brilliant actor, just as well, but his choice of roles is notoriously wayward when it comes to commercial issues, of course. Like he?s, on porpoise choosing only the once he wants. However, if we take look at his career, we might say he deserved this privilege of choosing. After astonishing, Oscar-nominated ?The Quiet American?, there's a new role of a bad guy in ?The Statement?. Here?s little pleasure for people who enjoy plotting conspiracy films. Well yes, after 20 minutes you'll want everyone dead.

To be honest, I am not at all a fan of films which have been adapted from books, as I have yet to find one which has actually been any good. The Harry Potter films just don't have the magic of the books, The Devil Wears Prada film wasn't fab either so these films tend to be disappointing for me as I loved the books and thought the films didn't match up exactly. However, I couldn't stand the book this film is based on so I held out hope that the film might be marginally better than its book!
P.S. I Love You tells us the story of Holly and Gerry, a young married couple very much in love with each other. Tragedy strikes when Gerry dies of a brain tumour and leaves Holly distraught and alone, missing her beloved Gerry. But she finds hope again in the form of letters from Gerry, from beyond the grave, guiding her and letting her know that ...
Advantages: Emotionally charged - thought provoking. Disadvantages: None.
from Gerry telling her he wants her to get dressed and go celebrate her birthday with her friends. Shaken from her depression, Holly does as he asks and goes out with her friends to celebrate her birthday.
As the days and weeks go by, Holly receives more letters from Gerry, each one of them asking her to perform a certain task, and every one of them signed; P.S. I Love You. Following the instructions on the letters, Holly's depression slowly lifts, and, with Gerry's guidance, she learns how to enjoy life once again?
'P.S. I Love You' is an incredibly heart-warming film, and a great cinematic achievement in unpretentious storytelling.
