Additional notes
Album Notes: Full title: Layzie Bone Presents Mo Thugs III: The Mothership. Mo Thugs include: Jeremy, Desperidos, Freaky-G, Seldom Seen, Flesh Bone, Black Hole Of Watts, Skant, Emmortal Thugs, Felecia, DJ Ice, Potion, Capone, Ken Dawg. Producers: Thin C., Rich E., Mike Smoov, Darren Vegas, Dammond Elliot. With Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's lasting effect on hip-hop, Layzie Bone has decided to branch off with his own crew; MO THUGS III: THE MOTHERSHIP gives these new artists a chance to shine on their own. They bring the same type of energy that Bone have become famous for, some groups even sporting their trademark singsong flow (check Freaky-G and Immortal Thugs on "Last Laugh"). The album is also visited by Bone members Layzie on several cuts, and Flesh Bone on "If I Can Go Back," a song dedicated to Eazy-E. With the variety of styles on offer here, THE MOTHERSHIP will definitely provide complete satisfaction.
Album Reviews: The Source (8/00, pp.228-9) - 3 mics out of 5 - "...[They] have remained true to their roots on this collection of ghettocentric beats and rhymes....featuring mostly tracks that were designed for chillin' at the residence with a chronic sack..."
Advantages: Four, count em, Four - listenable songs Disadvantages: A complete shell of their former selves
...BoneBoneBoneBone...
For an act that constantly reminded us that they would never fall off; T.W.O.: Thug World Order nixed each and every mention of that throughout the entire discography of BoneThugs & Harmony. Rumors of an impending split, the guy who discovered them dying of AIDS, and an incarcerated Flesh n Bone; the foursome managed to still bring hits like E. 1999 Eternal, Creepin On A Come Up, and everything else they dropped. Then they had to come out with this monstrocity.
There is a grand total of FOUR highlights on T.W.O.: Thug World Order. Thirteen songs, FOUR are worth listening to. The lead single, "Get Up & Get It" is vintage positive Bone backed by underrated pop-group 3LW. It reminds me of the very best that they are capable of. When the second single "Home" came out, I remember REALLY having high hopes and being...

Advantages: Original Disadvantages: Little variation
...Although not strictly the first album they released together, ?E 1999 Eternal? (referencing the executive producer and record label owner Eazy-E who guided them through this before dying of AIDS earlier in the year) was the official debut from BoneThugs-N-Harmony a rare Cleveland , Ohio rap group who chose to opt with the West Coast style as they performed with five of the area?s best MCs: Flesh-N-Bone, Krayzie Bone, LayzieBone, Bizzie Bone and Wish Bone.
1. ?Da Introduction?
2. ?East 1999?
To get things going properly, you have them dropping a track where they show their main influences by merging the West Coast g-Funk of around this time (although mainly prior to this), and from here, they also introduce a little Horrocore, a style which they chose not to associate with as they dissed Three 6 Mafia (one of the biggest acts in this...

Advantages: Consistent quality Disadvantages: A couple of fillers
..."Already Platinum" is the debut solo album from the Houston rap artist, Slim Thug. This came out in 2005, following his signing to Pharrell Williams' record company, Star Trak, and so despite the fact that the styles contrast so heavily, you get this Gangsta Rap perfromer do what he does on some Netunes beats. To most, the artist is most well-known for his collaboration with Gwen Stefani on "Luxurious" and with Beyonce's "Check On It".
1. "The Intro" (Intro)
2. "Like A Boss"
I originally heard this one on the Madden 2006 soundtrack, and it reinforced my liking for his music. On it, you have The Neptunes attempt their best at a Gangsta Rap beat as they comt up with heavy, bassy synth, which gives Slim the best foundations for him to then build upon with raps.
**Four Stars**
3. "3 Kings"
This was the track, following...
