I had never been a large fan of the Black Eyed Peas, I liked their song 'Where is the love' when they first appeared on the music scene back a few years ago, but it was not until their second album Monkey Business came out that I thought some of their music was pretty cool.
I love the Dont Funk With My Heart, Pump It & Dont Lie tracks on the album, Pump It was the song that inspired me to purchase the album.
It is a very varied album, with quite a few different styles of music, from quite dancy music, to the more soulful tunes, and until track six I was quite impressed with the album.
If you love rapping you will like the album especially the second part, as this takes over the rest of the album, but I am not a rap fan, so was a little dissappointed that the group had not included more of what was on the first part of the album.
Their lyrics are cleverly written, and the music is very imaginative, a lot different to some of the other music around in the UK at the moment.
I think thats what attracted me to this album, was that is was something fresh and new sounding, and even though the second part of the album was a bit of a let down, the first part made up for that.
