Advantages: vocals and instruments combine fantastically to make a great album Disadvantages: If you're not into metal music, you probably won't like this album
...screaming bout "the weight of someone's world comes crashing down on me". This song is mainly made up of Alex screaming and catchy instrumentals but is a fantastic finale to the song.
In conclusion, I would give 'A Death Grip On Yesterday' a secure 9.5/10, only losing out on that half a point because I would have loved there to be a couple more songs on this album. But what is on it is definitely worth listening to, I would recommend it to anyone, and I hope you found reading this review helpful if you were thinking about buying this great album. :)...

'Skin and bones it ain't such a pity...

Advantages: crunching rock, emotive ballads Disadvantages: not for everyone
...“Who are Aerosmith?” I hear you say. Hmmm, welcome back from that cave that you’ve been living in the past 30-odd years. Aerosmith are of course the legendary quintessential American rock band, award winning, multi-platinum, etc etc. “Ah yes I remember” I hear you say.
Aerosmith released Get A Grip in April 1993. It was their twelfth studio album, and their fourth under the management of Geffen (after this album the band signed with Sony Columbia). Bruce Fairbairn was brought back for the production (making this his third consecutive album produced for Aerosmith) and work began on the follow up to the mighty Pump album (released in September 1989). The recordings went well, starting in Los Angeles, then in lead guitarist Joe Perry’s home studio (nicknamed ‘The Boneyard’...
