More Or Less - Idjut Boys

...to it and I don't mean that badly, its nice to be soothed so much by one cd. The theme on this cd is mostly a natural rythmic feeling, guitars and classical sounds, but with some electric influence, but as i have said, nothing shocking, I have heard alot of these tunes on BBC 1's Holiday programme and i'm sure most people would recognise a few of the tunes at least. There are 13 tracks on this cd, and as usual, they range from different era's, most are from 1996, one from 1991 and track 3, Sueno con Mexico, a classical guitar piece is from 1979. On almost all of the Cafe del mar cd's you will find one track from about 30 years ago, but it will fit in, and its age won't show, infact you will probably find it to be the best track on the cd and will want to find more music by the artists. Advantages: a great album
Disadvantages: slightly more poppy/poser music than the other albums

...first things first! the album does have most of the main sort of feeling that the other albums do. even the more catchy songs on the album do begin to feel less close to there roots of fallout boy. whilst some have a more down to earth feel rather than the more popular songs from the album. but with that out the way this album has some of the best of fall boy, although some of the songs on this album do feel rather boring and repetertive. it is a album that is way above average but if your a fallout boy fan dont expect as much as some of the older albums. some of the songs on this album just can not compare. is still a must buy!... Advantages: All the Beach Boys hits in a boxed set
Disadvantages: Some people really will hate this type of music

...in one ear. The tracks are chronologically arranged and neatly contained into aesthetically-pleasing sections. For example, CD #1 contains the surfin' era, CD #2 contains the maturing of Brian's sonic palette, CD #3 contains the later, more esoteric but no less important cuts and CD #4 is a concise encapsulation of the rather spotty 1971-1989 period. There is also a decent, if not terribly enlightening booklet to accompany the recordings. The biggest asset, for Beach Boys fanatics, is a fifth (bonus) disc of alternate mixes of beloved songs where the instrumentation is buried so that only those heavenly harmonies can be heard accapella. This an important American musical legacy and Capitol Records should be commended for this exceptional package. It is a treat for the Fanatic, the Casual Listener or the Pop Musicologist.
