Advantages: In a good cause Disadvantages: Too long
...'Instant Karma: the campaign to save Darfur'
The latest charity effort in a good cause is actually a good record, for the most part, though it’s way too long.
It's a John Lennon tribute album featuring a veritable array of the music world's most prominent talents and will raise funds for Amnesty International's work to address the catastrophe in Darfur, Sudan.
Yoko Ono has granted rights to John Lennon's entire songbook to Amnesty International so that all the publishing revenue goes to the campaign. The album is a double CD release with classic John Lennon tracks reinterpreted by 27 artistes renowned artists.
The Green Day cover of "Working class hero" is on here, and is about as good as you could want, their big guitars and simple approach suiting the song very well.

Advantages: brilliant lyricis throughout the song Disadvantages: -
...The first time I heard this song, I froze. it was as if it it had hit a nerve inside me................
The combination of Savage Garden's excellent sound and the totally groundbreaking lyrics really did stop me in my tracks.
In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful songs that was in the charts. Savage Garden sing about the wrongs and rights in the world. Classic examples of lyrics in this song include, "I believe the struggle for financial freedom isn't fair; I believe the only ones to disagree are millionaires," and the chorus, which starts, "I believe in karma; what you give is what you get returned. I believe you can't appreciate real love till you've been burned." The entire song is chillingly real and beautifully done, and I would recommend you listen to it. Utterly thought-provoking.

Advantages: a perfect mix Disadvantages: nope cant think of one
...The second album by the brilliant aussie savage garden.
The first album entitled savage garden was brilliant, but this second one affirmation is better, and thats hard to do!
The title track is one of the best on the album, the lyrics are so thought provoking and, make you think, he sings them like he means them, with passion, and that is rare.
"i believe in karma what you give is what you get returned..." just listen to the whole song, its amazing, and with a fantastic beat to boot.
These lads can produce the slushiest romantic ballad (i knew i loved you before i met you) to upbeat (affirmation) and (your the best thing about me).
I love all the tracks on this album, i wouldnt call any of them a weak link, I dont skip through tracks i listen it all the way through.
Crash and burn another song taken from the album is excellent, part...
