Move Until We Fly - Nick Kamen

Advantages: The "best" of nick cave and the bad seeds, Cave's vocals, great songs, wonderful lyrics

...Nick Cave and the Bad seeds put their best songs together on an album and this is what we end up with. A sixteen track CD, wich has songs dating right through their career together (almost). Cave got with the Bad seeds in 1984 and this album goes as far back as that an all the way upto 1997 (The boatmans call). The album takes songs from each of the albums in this time peroid (though as the inlay booklet confess, not in chronological order). Cave and the bad seeds, have been described as being "Post-punk", "alt-rock" and "rock" all of these and more could be used to explain the bands sounds. Caves deep vocals as well as the musical arrangements which spand from simple to incredibly difficult, mixed with the dark and deep lyrics, allow this album to be a show case of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. Advantages: Folk rock at it's best, magical lyrics, soothing vocals and enchanting lullabies, a real treat for the ears

...As far as solo albums go in the world of folk rock Pink Moon is right up there squeezing it's way in between it's peers. Nick Drake has an enchantingly soothing pitched voice and along with his infamous right hand finger picking guitar style he is held in high esteem among his critics and fellow folk musicians. Nicholas Rodney Drake born June 19, 1948 in Ranhoon, Burma grew up in a small village in Warwickshire, he learnt how to play the flute at the local public school in which he attended. Drake later went on to study English literature at the University of Cambridge while his sister Gabielle Drake was becoming a highly accomplished actress. Advantages: Old songs with a new twist
Disadvantages: not everones cup of Tea

...they worked in collaboration with the composer Micheal Kamen who scored an arrangement using a forty piece orchestra for what is termed as the "elevator" version of nothing else matters. S&M is a unique live approach taken by Metallica to push their music beyond the perceived image of a purely heavy metal band. After working with Metallica before and fresh from a project with Pink Floyd on "Division bell" Michael Kamen approached Mettalica with the idea of performing some of the their most well known songs live with a full symphony orchestra. Metallica deliver a powerful and stunning performance and Kamen and his 100-piece orchestra fill in the gaps that as a fan I never though were missing and add a special touch and a depth, complimenting the band so completely that just sets those hairs tingling up your spine.
