Starting with his first track, "life is wonderful", you know that this album is going to be a bit different to other artists out there. Moving on to posibly the best track "geek in the pink", which was the first song of ... ...i havn't found a single person who doesnt love that song!
Other songs of note are Plane, Clockwatching (which is actually a bit rude if you listen), please dont tell her, song for a friend and OH HECK, they are all amazing!
I'm not some crazed fan however, to prove this, i'm going to admit i am not a fan of "the forecast", sorry Jason.

Starting with his first track, "life is wonderful", you know that this album is going to be a bit different to other artists out there. Moving on to posibly the best track "geek in the pink", which was the first song of Mr Mraz i heard. It sticks in your head and i havn't found a single person who doesnt love that song!
Other songs of note are Plane, Clockwatching (which is actually a bit rude if you listen), please dont tell her, song for a friend and OH HECK, they are all amazing!

This album is one of my all time favorites, i think every song has an individual character and non sound the same. There is even a bit of opera thrown in there, althoguh im not really a fan of that either, but it goes to show how vaired Jason Mraz is, and how he is willing to take risks to show his musical talent.
Advantages: Alot of really good tracks, that you can definitely enjoy Disadvantages: One too many slow songs compared to his previous effort

Lover 3:54 10 Please Don't Tell Her 4:37 11 The Forecast 3:45 12 Song for a Friend 8:10 The album opens with slow, well constructed track, life is wonderful and you instantly liken this singer to the likes of dave matthews, jack johnson and john mayer.Though although he has all the qualities of these artists he shows his talent and way with words in songs like 'wordplay'(ironically),'geek ... ...has an amazing ability to fit such a large amount of words into one sentence without it sounding too forced, and also fits in some clever jokes along the way.In a way it makes him come across as a funkier john mayer.
Though he isnt all about catchy lyrics and speed,he has a few thoughtful slow songs that explore his more romantic side,'please don't tell her' and 'mr curiousity' being towo fo these.
To be honest I could go through every track but ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: somewhat helpful Review of Mr. A-Z - Jason Mraz
Personnel include: Jason Mraz (vocals, guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar); Bill Bell (guitar); Kevin Kadish (acoustic guitar); Raul Midon (electric guitar, background vocals); Eric Hinojosa (keyboards); Ian Sheridan (bass instrument); Adam King (drums); Raul Rekow (congas, percussion); Karl Perazzo (timbales, percussion); Bashiri Johnson (percussion); Rachel Yamagata, Lee Davis High School Choir, Noel Rivera (background vocals); Nicole Bayer. Recording information: Allaire, Shokan, New York; Pulse Studios, Los Angeles, CA. On Jason Mraz's second studio album, the young Virginia-born singer/songwriter continues the loose, freewheeling pop/rock vibe established on his 2002 debut, WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME. He's still the slightly mischievous boy-next-door, but here Mraz has a new sense of self-confidence, undoubtedly based on the success of his first album. Though it's usually left to hip-hop artists to boast about their lyrical prowess, Mraz does exactly that on the rap-inspired "Wordplay," an alternately soaring and frenetic track that focuses on his tongue-in-cheek turns of phrase. Later in the record, Mraz offers up a mellow, Santana-like tune, "Bella Luna" (which shines the spotlight on his high, clear vocal delivery), and the surprisingly caustic piano ballad "Please Don't Tell Her." Overall, however, Mraz sounds most comfortable in the John Mayer light-rock vein, as evinced by the buoyant opening number, "Life Is Wonderful," and the anthemic "Did You Get My Message"
