Advantages: Really nice music Disadvantages: A few tracks arent as good as the others
...I was watching Classic FM TV one day and saw Simon Mulligan playing Band of Brothers and it really was absolutely amazing. However, at the end of the video it didnt say the name of the track or who performed it. It was so good though that I quickly went on the internet and found the name of the person playing it and realised that he had made a CD. I can't remember how much the CD cost but it wasnt any more than £10 and so I decided to buy it, after hearing only one of the tracks from it. The 'risk' I took when buying it though was one that was worth taking.
This CD is a really good. It has a wide variety of music, with music from composers like J.S. Bach and Beethoven through ones like Shostakovich, Chopin and Walton to modern composers like Michael Kamen, Eric Clapton and Simon Mulligan himself. Although there are a few weaker...

Advantages: Some fantastic songs, shows different side to the band, incredible artwork Disadvantages: Not their best record
...For Green Day, this was the awkward second mainstream album. They’d already achieved success for their first two albums released on the independent Lookout records, and their first album on a mainstream label, Dookie, had proved a phenomenal success. Therefore this put some pressure on the band, to be able to record and release an album their already devoted fans would love, and also, something to prove to their critics that they were sticking around.
Compared to its predecessors, Insomniac has a predominately heavier and darker edge to it. The main themes of the album are paranoia, isolation, panic attacks (Panic Song) and, as shown through the album title, insomnia. Tracks such as Geek Stink Breath and Brain Stew provide insights into the state of the mind during drug use, presenting the use of drugs such as methamphetamine...

Advantages: great artwork, great music. Disadvantages: NONE!!!!
...This was the first Greenday album i ever bought, and after listening to it, I had to go out and buy all the others. The album starts with armatage shanks, a fast lively song with a classic greenday tune and lyrics.
After this the songs just keep going, the album really hits you with its pace and energy. 86 is a brilliant song and one of the main tunes of the band. Also, brain stew has a fantastic guitar line and is a strikeingly different song to the rest of the album.
The art work on the album is also fantastic. The inlay folds out to a large poster size spread, with a surreal montage on display. The back has white typewriter writing on the black page, on display at different angles giving the lyrics to all the songs.
I simply love this album. it is one of the constant visitors to my CD player. I would reccomend it to anyone....
