Sounding like Pee Wee Herman singing along to a Grandaddy / Pavement amalgamation, about subject matter that John ... ...of boxes that lots of other bands tick between them, but these guys seem to have it all.

With its unimaginative cover illustrating a selection of various chair designs throughout the years, The MurkyWorld Of Seats from 2001, admittedly didn't inspire hopes of new found brilliance or much else for that matter. Which was a crime, because these guys got it going on.
Sounding like Pee Wee Herman on vocals, which is surprisingly acceptable, singing enthusiastically along to Grandaddy or maybe Pavement, about subject matter that The Velvet Underground or, at least a slightly younger John Cale would be reservedly proud to share.
And the melodic tunes with their great sounding guitar work, that unashamedly shifts tempo when you don't hear it coming.
It really is refreshing, especially when you think of all the bands who can quite happily but typically, go through the motions of expected 4 bar structures between expected chorus ...
