Well firstly muse are a British band. They originate from Teignmouth in Devon. They first started out in bands in high school. They finally came together with the threesome Matthew (lead vocals, guitar and piano) , Christopher (bass) and Dominic (drums). They went through a few different band names such as The Rocket Baby Dolls but finally when they went to battle of the bands with that name. They won so they decided it wasn't the right name for them this is when Muse was intoduced. 1997 changed rock music forever. Muse were intoduced onto the scene wit their first ep, follwing shortly by their Showbiz album. It wasn't a huge success but it sold a fair few. Then back in 2001 their second studio album Origin of symmetry was realsed with the likes of Newbor, Bliss, Hypermusic and Feeling good. This album was band in america as their record company said it was to weird. Yet it was only recenlty that they were aloud to realse it over there.
September 2003 came Muse's big hit with tehir album Asolution. This album made it to the number one spot and staye dtheir for some weeks. This album included singles such as sing for absolution, stockholm syndrome and time is runing out. This was the ablum that finally made Muse shine and got them their first worldwide arena tour. This album was focused on polictical views, this album got so much critisism yet sold over millions of copies worldwide.
Then entered this album Black holes and revelations. This was released July 2006. With this album Muse decided to go for a new approach, they had a disco vibe to the tracks. The album sold 115,144 copies in its first week in the UK, which was more than the first week sales of Muse's previous album, Absolution. This album 45 minutes 20 seconds long. This Ablum kicked off Muse's worldwide Stadium tour, giving them finally something they wanted 'World domination',
This album cost's around 7 or pounds. Well it did when I bought it when it was released. It may be a bit cheaper now as their new album is due out september 2009.
