The movie music and lyrics is a new motion picture starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymoore. It is relativley new at the cinema but masses of people have already been to see it.
Hugh Grant plays a washed keyboard/ Singer in a cheesy 80's pop band. Alex (Grant) is given a couple of days to write a song for teen sensation Cora. As he is doing so he is informed that his plant keeper is away so he has a different one for a few days. (Barrymoore) when she arrives she introduces herself as Sophie the new plant keeper. So he lets her in and he and a client carry on with their writing but as they go on Alex realises Sophie is a much better writer as she sings the rest of the song without knowing it.
The movie begins with the song Pop goes my heart which is my personal fave in the movie because it is so entertaining to watch and to listen to. then we meet the biggest teenage star in America and we are met with her singing 'Entering bootytown.' This song is a typical teenage track sang by the typical teenage star. Then we've got the superb duo trying to find the perfect song for the teen idol. The song is called "a way back into love" and Alex and Sophie sat in his sorted apartment writing this perfect song. The end result is great and really fits the motion picture perfectly.
Other songs include Love autopsy (another duo act) Meaningless kiss (one of his shows) Dance with me tonight (Same, one of his shows) but the one song in the movie that just makes you sigh a profound sigh. That song is 'Don't write me off!' This is the song that ends the movie making you just go 'aaaaaawwwww' but then again that is the job of the whole Official sountrack which pleases all cheesy musical fans everywhere.
If you enjoyed titles such as; Footloose, Grease or chicago then this soundtrack is defininatley for you.
The CD is approximatley $15.99 US and £12.99 UK, it is great value for money and i would absolutkey recommend it to anyh chick flick fans.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
This was mostly about the film, which isn't wrong, but what I think people look for in a music review is, essentially, a track-by-track rundown, with ratings for each song. I think if you were to edit the review and add a track rundown, you'd get more reads and higher ratings.
